People & Politics – Week 1 – 5th Feb 2008

I am writing this message after my first lecture and seminar on People and Poltics from the Journalism course. Well if i am being honest, i did find it very boring, i am not a huge fam of the Monarchy and politics; however when it directly involves me i will. I like politics but i dont like all the boring old long winded facts about who is in power, what minister does what etc etc….

It did raise a question in my mind though, when Chris said about there is still 1 law that a person can be killed for and that is when a man sleeps with the Kings wife he can be killed… but isn’t the UK being ruled by a Queen atm? So i am thinking… does it still stand if a woman sleeps with her husband can they be held on treason charges? lol. I didnt want to ask im the lecture i thought it was a stupid question, but the more i think about it the more i want to know.

I did enjoy the blog seminar though, i have heard about blogs but i didnt know where to do it but i love it! lol CCS codes where i come! ….

Hello to the world of bloggin!

Helllooooo everyone!

Well i guess this is where i write about myself…. hmm… what do i want to tell you that will sound interesting and not rather boring? My name is Emma i’m 19 but 20 yrs old in May 08, i am a Journalism Single Honours student in my 1st year @ Winchester University I come from Enfield in North London which i guess can be a good and a bad thing depending on what your opinion of London is really. I am an avid ARSENAL fan, i love the team and everything about them; some people will be reading this and thinking “nooo omg how could she support them!” or “yeah go on girl, you know the best team!” Everyone is allowed an opinion, mine is that Arsenal rulez hahaha!!!! woohooo

I am looking for a new house to live in next year with some of my best mates who i have met at uni and from back home, we have found a perfect place so hopefully we can secure it; fingers crossed yey. I wont go on about me too much. I just love music, dancing, going out with friends, having a good time, but i love my Journalism. I’ve always wanted to do it and people who know me will tell people that i am determined to succeed in the goals and targets i set for myself… so this is the first published blog by future Journalist Emma Jackson…. Oooo that sounds so good to say!

Thanx for reading this, you are probably bored now; i will let you go and think to yourself why you just spent the last 10 minutes of your life reaidng this lol. Hope you have enjoyed it as much as i have creating it
